Brainspotting

Where you look affects how you feel. Brainspotting uses that link to reach pain the talking mind cannot get underneath.

Brainspotting is a focused approach that uses your visual field to access, process, and release core emotional and somatic pain.

Certain eye positions — brainspots — correspond to trauma, distress, or unprocessed memory held in the deeper, subcortical regions of the brain. Finding them gives the work a direct route in.

How it works

01

Finding the spot

We locate the eye positions where your brain and body are holding emotional tension or a trauma response.

02

Processing below thought

Holding your gaze on a brainspot bypasses the conscious, explaining mind and reaches the limbic system and brainstem, where emotional regulation and memory live.

03

Release, with company

With steady, attuned presence from me, your brain’s own healing capacity is activated, and deep-seated emotional and physical distress can process out safely.

What it can help with

Reaches the deeper brain
Works where trauma is neurophysiologically stored rather than where it is rationalized.
Often a rapid release
Can ease anxiety, PTSD symptoms, chronic pain, and creative or performance blocks.
Gentle and adaptive
No need to retell or relive painful stories in detail for the work to move.

Who it’s for

  • Living with trauma, PTSD, anxiety, or phobias.
  • Feeling emotionally blocked, or carrying chronic physical pain.
  • Facing performance anxiety — artists, athletes, executives.
  • Wanting to process trauma without putting every detail into words.

Not sure whether this is the right fit?

We can talk it through first. Nothing is decided in advance — the approach is chosen with you, at your pace.
